Man escapes with Rs.94 Lakh cash after neighbour places it on his bike,nabbed after five days by Chandra Layout Police with intact money

he Chandra Layout police on Thursday recovered a hard cash of Rs.94 lakh which was left behind by a private firm employee while going to the office of an advocate in a hurry on Monday.

The complainant,Pramod,working in a city based BPO was in a hurry to go to advocate office along with the cash and some documents for verification to purchase a site.

While keeping the boxes in the car,he left the carton box filled with cash on the scooter in a hurry which was parked close to his car.

After reaching the advocate office,he realized that he left behind the cash box and rushed back by then the cash was vanished.

Senior officer told reporters,Based on the complaint, the Chandra Layout police started gathering the CCTV footage and identified the person who drove away with the cash box on a scooter.

The scooter belonging to Varun Gowda,who worked in credit card verification company.

After coming out of a client house,Varun saw a box kept in the scooter and opened to find bundled of currency.Thanking his luck,he drove away with the box Instead of handing it over to the police.

However after verifying over 300 CCTV footage, the police finally track down Varun from his house in Girinagar and recovered the cash intact.

The accused was planning to buy a second hand SUV and also buying properties and valuables with the rest of the money.

The accused has been booked under theft case and remanded to judicial custody.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,B Dayananda,Addl CP West,Satheesh Kumar has appreciated DCP West,S Girish,ACP,Bharath S Reddy,PIs,as,KS Hatti,Kempegowda,and crime staff who has worked tirelessly to nab the accused and recovered the amount intact a special reward will be given to whole team for their meticulous investigation and work he added.
