Two held by Bellandur police for harrasing couple travelling in a car over a road rage row on Sarjapur road

he Bellandur police on Saturday arrested a 24-year-old biker and his associate for harassing a couple travelling in a car in the early hours over a road rage row on Sarjapura road .

Senior officer told reporters,a video went viral in which the couple,IT professional,returning home from their friend’s house on the deserted Sarjapura main road at around 3 am when the accused riding motorcycle against one way crashed into the car.

The rider got down and started shouting and demanded the driver to come out to check.Sensing trouble the driver reversed the car and drove away while the duo followed him for five kilometers until he reached the safe area.

The entire incident was captured on dash board camera which was later uploaded on the city police social media account, seeking action.

Reacting to the Incident,Kala Krishnaswamy,DCP,Traffic East division,assured necessary action,while the Bellandur police located the couple and spoke to them .

Based on the complaint the police track down the accused identified as,Dhanush 24,a Fish seller and his assistant Rakshit 20 ,

The duo have been booked under section 384 (extortion),504, (Intentional Insult ) and 506 ( criminal Intimidation) for further investigations.

The HSR layout traffic police have also booked the duo under rash and negligent driving to endanger human life and also under various section of Motor vehicle act.

Finally Bengaluru police commissioner,CH Pratap Reddy,Addl CP East,Chandrashekhar M,DCP Whitefield, Girish S has appreciated the Bellandur police inspector and his crime staff for their excellent work who acted swiftly and traced the accused and arrested them for road rage and other relevant sections and further investigation is on and for the exemplary work done by them a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
