Close to the heel of police brutality by Adugodi police , another private firm employee accused night beat police of allegedly planting piece of Marijuana twig in his bag and later extorted money accusing him of carrying narcotics in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The victim,Vaibhav Patil a native from Himachal Pradesh landed in city six month ago was working in a private firm on night shift.
He was heading home after booking Rapido bike when two policemen at around 3.45 am stopped the bike near Ayyappa temple in HSR Layout .
On the pretext of checking my bag,the cop pulled out a twig of Marijuana and accused me of consuming drugs and started questioning and forced him to confess.
When Vaibhav refused,they threatened him to foist a case and said that they will get a reward of Rs.15,000 each and ask him to come along while asked him to pay Rs.100 to the bike rider and sent him off .
The duo took him on bike riding triple to hospital for check up and took him to an isolated place where they demanded him to pay or face arrest.
The duo later checked his bank balance to find he had around Rs.4,000.They asked him to get the amount from ATM,but he did not have the card .
Finally the duo took Rs.2,500 from him and let him go with a advise not to venture out.
Vaibhav who narrated his ordeal on social media tagging senior police officials and the media houses , question,if i cant go out in night how i suppose to work .
