Nepali gang held by Mahalakshmi layout police for Rs.1.5 crore theft at bizman’s home

The Mahalakshmi Layout police arrested a gang of seven including three women from Nepal who had burgled the house of a businessman situated in Nagapura.

The police recovered gold valuables,silver articles, expensive wrist watches and cash total worth Rs.1.5 crore from them.

Senior officer told reporters,the prime accused in the case identified as Upendra Bahadur used to work as security guard in a near-by under construction house.

He kept a close watch on the house after the family went for foreign trip in October and roped in his associates .

The accused kept a watch and gained entry into the house by cutting open window grills and took away the valuables.

The family returned on October 30 and found the house was ransacked and valuables were missing .

Based on the complaint,the police gathered CCTV footage from in and around the area and zeroed in on the accused .

The accused according to the police are habitual offenders involved in over 15 house break theft cases including in city,Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
