Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai condoled the demise of a veteran journalist and a former editor of Kannada Prabha,K.Satyanarayana here on Sunday.
In a condolence message,he said Satyanarayana made a debut in the field of journalism through ‘Thai Naadu’, and worked in Kannada Prabha, a Kannada newspaper for over three decades.
His column even at this age threw light on contemporary politics and commerce. A symbol of value-based journalism, he had been the recipient of several awards including the prestigious
TSR award. In the death, Kannada journalism suffered a huge loss and lost a link to the old school of journalism.
Bommai has prayed the God for his family members to bear the loss and let the soul rest in peace.
