Complaint filed against unknown person for tearing up copies of bible and manhandling Members of Akhila Bharata Cristha Mahasabha

Members of Akhila Bharata Cristha Mahasabha on Friday filed a complaint with the city police against a group for tearing up copies of Bible and manhandling a group which were distributing free copies in Malleshwaram on last Friday.

Prajwal Swamy S,president of the Mahasabha in his petition said that the accused comprising of men and women attacked the Christian members, humiliated and tore the Bible and stamped on it accusing religious conversion.

The incident occurred at Malleshwaram 13 cross where Christian members led by Rajalakshmi Rebecca were standing on the roadside with a van they were travelling and giving free copies of bible to the people who are interested.

However the accused manhandled abused and accused the members before destroying the Sacred books and stamped on it.

This amount to provocation and inciting communal hatred between communities, Mr.Prajwal Swamy, said .

He also said that the delegation had earlier met Director General and Inspector General of Police and submitted memorandum seeking protection from fringe elements during Christmas celebrations and Carol singing.
