The Konanakunte police on Monday arrested a 25-year-old for stabbing his friend to death in an inebriated state on Sunday.
The accused Syed Wajeed and deceased Safeer Ahmed,23,used to work as welders at a fabrication shop and were friends.
On Sunday it was a holiday at work and the accused got drunk and started arguing over a trivial row.
Heated argument turned ugly when Wajeed pulled out a dagger and stabbed Safeer .
A fatal attack rendered Safeer died on the spot following which Wajeed escaped .
The Konanakunte police rushed to the spot and track down the accused and arrested him.
Wajeed has been take into custody to ascertain whether the murder was pre planned said a senior officer.
