Kolkata High-court denied permission to Tate job seekers for agitation at Kolkata

Abhijit Ray, Kolkata:Despite the petition, the High Court did not allow the Tate examinees to sit on the agitation at the foot of the Gandhi statue at Kolkata .The 2014 Tet job seekers sought permission from the police to stage a sit-in under the Gandhi statue. The police did not give that permission. The job seekers approached the High Court at that time. Tate job aspirants cannot continue their dharna at the foot of Gandhi Statue, Calcutta High Court ordered on Thursday. The High Court did not allow their sit-in program on Thursday.50 of the 2014 Tet job aspirants sought permission from the police last month to stage aagitation below the Gandhi statue. The police did not give permission at that time. The job seekers then approached the High Court. Last September 16, Justice Rajashekhar Mantha allowed this for five days and the deadlinewas expired on September 21.Those job aspirants came to the High Court wanting to hold aagitation again. In this context, Justice Hiranmoy Bhattacharya’s observation on Thursday, even though there is a plan to continue the program, why did the job seekers sit on agitation for five days? The earlier orders of the court have been complied with.The petitioners could have challenged the earlier judgment of the single bench if they  had planned to continue the program for more monitoring, longer days. Without doing that ,permission is being asked again. After that, the High Court rejected the application of those 50 TATE job seekers. Other job seekers had already decided to stage sit-ins elsewhere.
