Govt promises Rs.5000 crore grant for Kalyana Karnataka development from next year: CM Bommai

The state government will provide Rs.5000 crore for the development of Kalyana Karnataka from next year, announced Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Addressing a public meeting at NV Grounds and distribution of facilities to beneficiaries of various schemes here on Saturday, he said this region has been a witness to many historical events.The government has the responsibility to take this region to the mainstream.

They have vowed for the complete development of this region.Many have made promises and gone but they will continuously strive for the development of Kalyana Karnataka.

People are living with plenty of problems.There is a difference between discussing it and living with it.

There is a solution for problems amidst people. What they needed to do was to walk along with them,find solutions for problems and implement them.That is the real pro-people’s government.

Changing times

Bommai said people are now vigilant and all sections of the society live in this region.The SCs/STs and Backward Classes are in big numbers and they can lead a life with confidence if their houses and villages get road connectivity, schools,hospitals and good healthcare.

The present state government is committed to providing the basic infrastructure in this regard.

On September 17 last year,a promise of releasing Rs.3000 crore was made and the same has been fulfilled in this year’s state budget.All the schemes were given approval and the works were kickstarted today.

Every house must improve

He said the construction of 2100 new classrooms in Kalyana Karnataka began today and never in the history of Karnataka so many classrooms were built at one go.

In the State,8000 new classrooms are being constructed;

Instructions are given to provide toilets to all primary and high schools before August 15 next year.

Work on the construction of 2500 Anganwadi centres has started.The government is providing nutritious food to malnourished kids and empowerment through education.

Along with the development of Kalyana Karnataka,each and every house in this region must flourish.

This region must all develop on the lines of other regions.That work will be done by the state government.The people will be made stakeholders in the development of Kalyana Karnataka,he added.

The CM said the recruitment of 5000 teachers will be completed before March 2023 as against the target of 11,000 teachers.

The Kagina irrigation project that will provide water to Bidar district and other lift irrigation schemes will be implemented.

The former CM,BS Yediyurappa had started the construction of Anubhava Mantap in the name of 12th century social reformer Basavanna who started the first parliament in the whole country over 800 years ago to ensure equality for all.The government will function on preachings of the sharanas.
