Karnataka High court gives nod to obtain property attachment orders,Prime accused in the scam surrenders to court

Hours after CID officials obtained property attachment orders,one of the prime accused in the PSI recruitment scam surrendered before the Additional City Metropolitan Magistrate on Thursday.

The accused,Boregowda,a civil contractor by profession played important role as middleman between the candidates and the officials was on the run since the scam broke out.

He was the 37th accused in the scam .

The CID officials led by ADGP,Umesh Kumar probing the scam,resorted the legal option to smoke him out from his hideout and obtained property attachment orders from the court and sealed his house situated in Laggere .

The message about the CID action was convened to Boregowda who surrendered before the magistrate.

The CID officials had initiated similar operation of attaching the property of the accused involved in Kalaburgi case .

However before initiating the procedure, the accused surrendered .

The CID team who were heading to seal his other properties returned to the court and took him into custody for questioning.

Boregowda’s arrest will throw more light on the details of the scam exact role of the accused said a senior officer.
