Inspector suspended for misbehaving with Woman staffer at a hotel in Bengaluru

Gopalakrishna Gowda,Police Inspector attached to KP Agrahara police station has been suspended on Sunday for allegedly misbehaving with a woman staffer at a hotel in Indira Nagar in an inebriated state .

Senior officer told reporters,victim filed a complaint at Jeevanbhimanagar police station and it was stated that Mr. Gowda abused her verbally and created ruckus after the woman denied room for him following which she called the JB Nagar station and filed a complaint .

Based on the complaint,the police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control and later filed a non cognizable report for further investigations.

The victim complained that Gowda came to the hotel and was drunk and started demanding a room to rest.

When she said that there is no room and for which he asked the woman staff how dare she is denying the room for a police inspector and allegedly hurled abuses at her .

The other staff tried to pacify him but he got infuriated and created ruckus .

The incident was reported to the police Commissioner CH Prathap Reddy,who suspended Gowda on Friday pending a departmental inquiry.

This is not the first time,the accused officer had a history of alcoholism and even attended duty drunk.

He was given warnings before to mend his ways , but in vain a senior officer said.
