The Anti-Narcotics wing of the CCB have arrested a notorious interstate gang of 4 persons involved in smuggling of hashish oil and ganja. Drugs worth ₹4 Cr have been seized and further investigation is underway. says Joint CP Crime, Raman Gupta in his tweet.
The Anti-Narcotics Wing of the Central Crime Branch on Wednesday busted another inter state drug racket and arrested four persons including two women who were peddling drugs in metro cities .
The accused have been identified as Srinivasa, Satyavathy,Malleshwari and Prahlad.
Senior officer told reporters acting on a credible information the Anti-Narcotics wing officials raided a Pub in Viveknagar and during raid the team arrested a DJ from the party for consuming and peddling drugs.
The team took him into custody and during investigation the accused confessed the crime and revealed that he used to work as DJs in pubs and restaurants to contact their clients and peddle drugs .
The accused have links with the tribal in forest range of Araku in Andhra Pradesh,stay with them to grow Marijuana to prepare Hashish oil and other form of drugs.
The accused would then conceal the drugs in the bags which contain cereals,pulses and vegetables carry them on their and walk several kilometres in the forest area to reach the railway station.
The accused would then travel in the train with the luggage to reach the cities and hand over to the consignment to their contacts.
The accused have been booked under various sections of the NDPS Act and investigating to probe their network.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner C H Pratap Reddy has appreciated Joint CP Crime, Raman Gupta, DCP Crime-2 BS Angadi,ACP, Ramachandra B,PI,BS Ashok,and staff as, Shivappa Kudaji,Shahnur R,Ramesh, Prakash,Dyvarsaya,Smt.Ammayamma,and others have successfully arrested all the four and busted inter-state drug peddlers who were peddling drugs to metro cities by procuring drugs from Nellore are now cooling their heels in jail and a suitable reward will be given to whole team for the excellent investigation done by them he added.
