Northeast CEN Police arrested Parademic student for cheating people online to arrange funds for accident claim

The Northeast cyber crime police on Saturday arrested a 20-year-old paramedic student from Delhi for cheating people online to arrange the funds for the accident claim.

The accused has been identified as,Aman Kumar,

Senior officer told reporters,the accused was arrested based on a complaint filed by Prakash N on On May 20.

The accused Aman placed an advertisement on online marketing platform ( OLX) offer to sell iMac laptop.

After speaking to the accused Prakash transferred Rs.75,000 as advance and cheated .

Based on the complaint,a team led by Santosh Ram R, and his team track down Aman and arrested him.

Aman confessed that he had involved in an accident and was asked to compensate.In order to arrange the money for the compensation he devised the idea of cheating people online through offering iMac laptop for a throwaway price .

The accused told the police that using this Modus operandi,he had cheated as many as five persons in different states across the country.

The accused has been booked under cheating, impersonation and under various section of IT Act and remanded to judicial custody.

Finally Bengaluru Police commissioner,C H Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP East,A subramanyeshwara Rao,DCP Northeast,Dr Anoop A Shetty,PI,Santhosh Ram R,PSI,Raman Gowda,and staff as,Ramesh,Oblesh and Shashikala who has done commendable job in detecting the case and nabbing the cyber fraud a impersonator who has cheated many a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
