Fake kidney donation racket busted three foreign nationals arrested by Southeast CEN Police

he Southeast cyber crime police on Monday has busted a fake kidney donation racket in Bengaluru and arrested three foreign nationals in connection.

Two among the accused are Nigerian national and one is from Ghana,the police,said .

Senior officer told reporters,a complaint was registered by the reputed hospital medical director who stated in his complaint that someone has created fake website of our hospital and is indulged in cheating people on the pretext of donation and transplant of kidney to many and are making money and spoiling the image of our hospital.

Based on a complaint from the director of a reputed hospital on Bannerghatta road special team was formed by DCP,Southeast, Srinath Mahadev Joshi,under the able guidance of ACP, Sudhir M Hegde,team headed by PI,Yogesh ST of CEN police station and his staff swung into action.

The team collected information from the director of hospital and with the help of technical inputs and other investigation skills the team zeroed in on trio from an apartment in Amruthahalli area.

During investigation the accused confessed the crime and revealed they created fake websites of reputed hospitals in Bengaluru and targeted both kidney donors offering Rs.4 crore for the organ donation and also extorting money from the recipients on the pretext of medical fee and registration charges .

A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that the accused offered Rs.4 crore per kidney for donors and took lakhs of rupees as registration fee.

The police have seized several phones,laptops and others electronic gadgets used by the accuse to run the racket.

The accused had come to city on student visa and overstayed even after their visa expired,.

The accused started to fake the websites of reputed hospitals to lure the donors and recipients on social media to extort money and spend it on their vices.

Using the modus operandi the accused have cheated several persons worth lakhs of rupees and the police have requested the victims to approach the police and file complaint against them.

We warn the landlord to be careful while renting out their premises to foreign nationals and scrutinize the documents carefully.

The house owners have also been directed to inform the jurisdictional police about their foreign tenants.

A case has been registered against the accused under cheating and Foreigners Act and further investigation is on.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East,A subramanyeshwara Rao,DCP Southeast,Srinath Mahadev Joshi,ACP,Sudhir M Hegde,PI,Yogesh ST,PSI,Nagesh GN,ASI,Muniraju,and crime staff as,Siddanna,Basavaraj Jattanavar,Pandurangaiah and Amruthahalli crime staff as,Vittal Daddi and Hanumantha HD,who helped in nabbing the trio accused 2 Nigerian National and other from Ghana and busted a big racket a special reward will be given to whole team for the exemplary and excellent work done by them in busting the racket he added.
