Notorious Drug peddler arrested by Hanumanthanagar police 24.8Kgs of Marijuana Worth Rs.10 Lakhs seized

The Hanumanthanagar police caught a 44-year-old man from Kolar who was peddling marijuana in the city .

The accused has been identified as,Akram Khan, from Rahmath Nagar of Kolar was arrested red handed while he was waiting for his clients on his bike on roadside on Hanumanth Nagar main road to deliver the drugs.

Senior officer told reporters,The Hanumanthanagar police inspector Sandeep Kumar BN received a credible information that a person is waiting near Ashoknagar 1st cross area in a two wheeler suspect of peddling drugs.

Acting on credible information Inspector,Sandeep Kumar BN and his team swung into action and rushed to the spot and surrounded the area and kept a close watch on the suspect and his movements after getting confirmation the team caught him red handed while he was delivering drugs to his clients.

The team took him into custody and after intercepting his bag the police recovered 24.8 kgs of Marijuana worth Rs 10 lakh from him.

A detailed investigation by the team has revealed that the accused would carry the drug unabated on his bike from his home town concealed it as greens ad vegetables .

The accused would then sell it to his customers in and around the city.Akram Khan has been booked under NDPS Act and taken into custody to ascertain his drug network and further investigation is on.
