Inter-state Drug peddler arrested,11Kgs of Hashish Oil Worth Rs.11 Crore Seized by Kodigehalli Police

The Kodigehalli police busted an inter-state drug racket and arrested a 26-year-old man from Kerala who was peddling drugs in state.The police recovered 11 kgs of hashish oil worth Rs 11crore from him.

The accused has been identified as,Anup,hailing from Kerala.

Senior officer told media persons,the Kodigehalli Police Inspector received a credible information that some person supplies drugs to Hi-end parties and is indulged in peddling drugs near Hebbal flyover.

Based on information the team kept a close watch and were continuously monitoring the accused and caught him red handed beneath Hebbal flyover on the evening of December 4 when he came to sell hashish oil. Then, we raided his house in Sahakarnagar and recovered 11 kgs of hashish oil.

Based on his information,a team headed to Kerala to look for others including the kingpin involved in the racket.

A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that the accused is a repeat offender involved in peddling cases in Banaswadi, Sudduguntepalya,Udupi,Mangalore and other districts.

The accused would source the drugs from neighbouring AP and routed the drugs into the city via Kottayam.

The accused would rent out houses in residential localities mainly to store the drugs , a police officer said . This is to avoid undue attention from the police we found during investigation.

The accused has been booked under NDPS Act and further investigation is on.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East S Murugan DCP Northeast CK Baba and his whole team of Kodigehalli Police station and a suitable reward will be given to the whole team he added.
