Karnataka Governor,Vajubhai Vala Honored 12 Best Officers with Sarvothama Seva Prashasti Awards

69th year Republic Day was celebrated with joy in Bengaluru on Friday.Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala with Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah with other Minister and officers were present,He unfurled the national flag and received a guard of honour from the uniformed forces at Manekshaw Parade Ground .
The parade was followed by a dance show and tableaux.Members of Shwet Ashw, the army’s motorcycle display team, thrilled the crowd with their breathtaking stunts. The team, led by naik Subedar N K Tiwari, who has 23 years of experience in performing daredevil acts on motorbikes, drew thunderous applause for their jumps through rings of fire, sudarshan-chakra and pyramid formations.
A team from the Madras Regimental Centre, led by Havaldar Unni,then performed a kalaripayattu, a martial arts form from Kerala, show.The equestrian team from ASC Centre and College, Bengaluru, which has excelled in various disciplines like dressage, eventing and polo at national and international events, also put on a stunning show.
The State government has instituted ‘Sarvottam Seva Prashasthi’, an award scheme at district, department and the State levels to be given among the best of its six lakh employees on January 26.
Governor of Karnataka,Vajubhai Vala,gave away the Sarvottam Seva awards to 12 best officers in the presence of Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah,District Commissioner  V Shankar,Rathna Prabha Chief Secretary,Manjunath N Prasad IAS BBMP Commissioner,DG&IGP,Neelamani N Raju,Commissioner of Police,T Suneel Kumar was to present at the Dias, and for their outstanding achievement and service rendered to public in their service was chosen by government and rewarded them.
The state government has chose 12 best  officers for the “Sarvottama Seva” award, which carries a prize of Rs 25,000.In which the officers has been selected from different departments for their performance in their service .
A public relation officer job is not so easy to handle,they should address the grievances of public they should coordinate with media other departments and they will have huge responsibility.
The awardees are to whom the state  government has chosen for the good service and outstanding achievement done by them in their respective departments are , S Premalata,Suprientedent and Public relations officer, Transport;Narasimhalu,Jamedar, DPAR, G R Sandesh, section officer, DPAR; Subhash Chandra Reddy, Dalayat, Youth Services and Sports; D R Raju, Jamedar, PWD; T H Nagaraj, deputy director, Agriculture (Uttara Kannada); M T Manjunath, additional director, Animal Husbandry;  Jayaprakash, assistant, Endowment; D C Jagadeesh; deputy directors, factories (Mysuru); Umesh Shastri, section officer, Forest, Ecology and Environment; Vidyaranyaguru Shantayya Hiremath, second division assistant, Belagavi police; Sharat Kumar A, panchayat development officer (Bidar).
Transport Commissioner,B Dayananda  told ,The state government has awarded the sarvottam seva Prashasti for 2017-18 and cash prize of Rs-25000 to Smt.Premlatha S, Suprientedent and public relations officer working at transport Commissioner’s office in recognition of her excellent services in the department.She has successfully carried out Road Safety Programmes and been appreciated by the public and has received many appreciation letters from the Transport commissioner and public too she has organised several training programmes for the officers or staff of the department. She has also assisted in creation of Logo and building a brand image for the department so we wish her best of luck to receive more rewards in her future for the department he added .
Ms.S.Premlatha Public Relations Officer of Transport Department a Post Graduate in Master of Arts English Literature , is working as Public Relations, and Human Rights from past 24 years and she has put in 24 years of Government Service.
As a Public Relations officer of the Transport Department her commitment is to serve the public, redressal of grievances, queries problems and providing timely solutions.
In her service period she has helped in Branding of the Transport Department including revamping of the website with all necessary steps to minimize dependency on regional transport offices by providing essential information at the click of a button.
She has maintained a good Coordination with RTOs, Police Department, Media and NGOs for public awareness during Road Safety Week in the month of January and Pollution Awareness Month November every year.Training for Public Relation Officers and staff.Organised training  programmes  for officers and staff through reputed Human Resource Development and Management Centres to build a good relationship and service mindedness among the staff and officers.Organised State Level Worshops/ Seminars and Conferences for Officers and Review Meetings.
Media Management:Coordination with media Organising Press Conference for print and electronic media Release of Press Notes Press Releases to Print and electronic Media on important programmes/Functions /launches Invites Enforcement and other Activities of the Transport Department
Public Awareness Programmes for Road Safety.
She has successfully organized Teens and Road Safety Programmes Road Safety Programmes in coordination with  M.S.Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital. The programme highlighted about injuries in road accidents and cautioned the Teens through DVD Presentation, lecturers and talks  by the senior officers of the Dept. and doctors of M.S. Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital. Most of  the colleges in the state were covered in this programme.
 Enforcement Activity:
Assisting the Joint Commissioner Bangalore ( U&R)  during the enforcement and checking of vehicles on road by coordinating with media for coverage and press release for Public Awareness and urging the road users to drive safely and follow the rules.
Awards received for her outstanding performance are :
1.In the year 2009 the then transport commissioner has felicitated with appreciation letter for her Branding and logo.
2. In the year 2010 she was rewarded by Bangalore Traffic News Newspaper, as best PRO for the best services rendered to public .
3. In 2010,His excellence, Dr.Joseph V.G.Honarary consult to the Republic of Maldives in Bengaluru and chairman garden city group of institutions .
4.in the year 2013s women’s day celebrations was done she was felicitated for the best women officer category .
5.In the year 2015 Newspapers Association Of India  (NAI),Honored her for her best service and outstanding achievement.
6.in the year 2016 she was honored as Best Citizen award in PR and communication by Suryapriya kala creation.
7.In the year 2017 She was Felicitated and honored on international women’s day .
Land mark achievement;
Co-ordinated induction training programme for FDAs /SDAs of transport department.
Assisted in organising in group of ministers 2016 meeting successfully/appreciation from Hon’ble Transport Minister of Rajasthan to the transport department of Karnataka.
Appreciation from the general public for the service rendered.
Successful media campaign for Annual road safety week Electronic radio and print media .
Conducted training programme in public relation and communication for probationary RTOs at Karnataka police academy at Mysuru in 2017.
Assisted in conceptualisation content and theme of road safety documentaries to be shown in the theatres produced by department of information and public relations in 2017.
Conducted classes for women RTO officers and employees about sexual harassment and gave them good advise and a seperate wing to address the grievances of women employees was set up.
“First time in KSRTC history and a proud maidan entry of KSRTC Security Platoon   at Republic day parade” :
KSRTC Security and Vigilance Department proudly made its maidan entry at Republic day parade in Manikshaw parade ground with 33 security staff led by Mr Somaiah, security guard, Hassan Division.
Mr Umashankar IAS, Managing Director felt the prowess of 900 desciplined Security force in KSRTC needs  be shown to the Karnataka by participating among the best of India security forces. With his initiative Security staff were selected from Kempegowda bus station division, Bangalore Central Division, Regional Workshop, Central office and KST press and were trained at Central Training Institute, KSRTC  under the able guidance of Mr Ravi, IPS Director (S&V) KSRTC.
The selected staff were put under rigorous training during last 4 weeks.
Its been a proud and tremendous achievement for KSRTC to participate in the Manek shaw parade grounds to show its desciplined security force.
