Two held,Clueless Murder case of Priest detected by Kadugodi police after 108 days :

The Whitefield Division Police of Kadugodi police have detected clueless murder case and arrested a hardware shop owner and his associate who has brutally murdered a 57 year old priest who was missing under mysterious circumstances from past 108 days as three months.

The accused has been identified as,Manjunath K,39,resident of Hosakote,and Gopi,20,native of kuppam in Andhra Pradesh.

The deceased Neelakanta Reddy priest of kashi Vishwanath temple was also lending money to people for interest.

According to the police the accused Manjunath owner of hardware shop had borrowed RS.10 lakh from Dixit as loan but could not repay due to loss in business during pandemic.

Dixit demanded manjunath to return and the duo had heated argument.On September 5th Dixit went missing and his family members filed a missing complaint with Kadugodi police.

The Kadugodi police swung into action and conducted a investigation and found that Manjunath on the pretext of returning money called Dixit and bludgeoned him to death before burying the body near the shop.He had even cemented the place to avoid suspicion.

Senior officer,told media persons that,Neelakanta’s family members said he has been missing since September 5 and they had filed a missing complaint.Two days ago,they filed another complaint raising suspicions over the involvement of a person called Manjunath in his disappearance.

Acting on a complaint the Kadugodi police inspector and his team swung into action after collecting information from the relatives of priest the team started their investigation and kept a close watch on the suspect and after collaborating technical evidence and inputs the team detained the suspect.

After detaining the team grilled them who has confessed the crime killing Neelakanta Dixit, residing in Kadugodi near Nanjundeshwara temple on Teru Beedi.

Manjunath,who confessed to killing Neelakanta Has showed us the location where he disposed of the body, we have located the body in the presence of Tahshildar near Lakshmi palace.

Neelakanta was a priest at the Kashi Vishwanatha temple in Kadugodi,his brother Narasimha Murthy told police.The family obtained money by selling their property and they bought land in Mysuru,Nanjangud and other places.

Neelakanta lent the remaining money through a person named Anjaneya Reddy.He gave Rs 10 lakh to Manjunath two years ago without Reddy’s knowledge.Manjunath paid the interest for a few months,but soon the payments became irregular.

Neelakanta demanded repayment of his money from Manjunath and warned him that he would inform his wife and father-in-law about the deal.

Manjunath,a businessman,asked Neelakanta to give him some time since his business was down due to the pandemic.Neelakanta insisted that he should at least pay the interest on time.

Manjunath then in the pretext of returning money called Neelakanta to his shop and while discussing they both had a heated argument in which the accused Manjunath hited him with wicket continuously and when he fell down the accused stabbed him multiple times and killed him and then locked the shop and kept the body in the shop only for one whole day.

Next day morning he and his friend shifted the body and exhumed the priest body near Lakshmi palace in a cemented wall said by the accused in his statement but our team which has taken the case as challenging and solved the case and arrested all the accused.
