For this reason, the state government has planned to create special public relations units at the state level and in all the districts. According to the administrative sources, this department named as ‘Citizen Relationship Management Unit’ will directly communicate with the common citizens on a regular basis to investigate their attitudes, needs, complaints about the activities of the government and various government projects.The state government has launched Duare Sarkar program to bring the facilities of government projects to the doorsteps of people. After going to the area and listening to their grievances, neighborhood solution programs have been adopted to settle them. This idea of creating the government’s own public relations unit is the next step according to the opinion of the administrative circles.
It is known that a specific outline is being prepared for the creation of these units centrally and in the district.
A skilled IAS officer is envisaged to be centrally in charge of this unit. Public relations units will be created separately from district to block level. Its purpose is to make the work of the administration transparent and smooth as well as to strengthen the connection of the common people with the government. How much are the benefits of government projects to ordinary people? After reporting the complaint, the government officials will reach out to the common people to find out whether the work is being done or not.This unit will take special initiative not only to reach, but also to find out the solution immediately. However, according to the source, Navanna may inform the districts in the form of guidelines soon as to how the entire unit will work, how they will manage it. Panchayat elections are going to be held in this state early next year. Not only that, the state is also going to take the government’s plan in several rounds before the panchayat elections.In that case, this special initiative is considered to maintain a transparent system in the management of social projects. Recently, the state panchayat department has taken a tough stance on the 100-day work, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. In case of corruption or nepotism, the panchayat department in the state has ordered to file an FIR.
