KC Reddy,the first Chief Minister of Karnataka, was the leader who laid the foundation for modern Bengaluru and Karnataka,Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.
Speaking after paying tributes to KC Reddy on his 120th birth anniversary,Bommai recalled the contribution of Reddy to the State’s progress from being the member of Mysuru Praja Pratinidhi Sabha to the first Chief Minister of the then Mysuru State.
Reddy laid the foundation for modern Bengaluru and Karnataka by playing a stellar role in getting major Central PSUs like BHEL,BEL,HMT established in Bengaluru.
He was an astute administrator and he would be remembered eternally in Karnataka’s history.We should follow his ideals,Bommai said.
Reddy’s Statue
KC Reddy’s statue is ready for installation and it would be unveiled at Vidhana Soudha premises soon,Bommai said.
