State general secretary Gottigere Manja has been accused of allegedly manhandling and attempting to assault a traffic police personnel identified as Arun attached to Hulimavu Traffic after his vehicle was stopped near Gottigere.
According to preliminary information,traffic police personnel were conducting checks near Gottigere when they stopped Manja’s vehicle.
Manja allegedly questioned the officer, asking,“How dare you stop my vehicle?”and entered into an argument with him.
He is accused of grabbing the traffic police personnel by the collar and attempting to assault him. A video purportedly showing the incident has since circulated on social media.
The argument was reportedly brought under control after members of the public intervened and separated the two.
Further details regarding the incident after filing a complaint will be ascertained during investigation.
