A 22-year-old hotel worker died after getting trapped in a goods lift at a hotel in south Bengaluru on Wednesday morning, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh (22),a native of Dharwad,who was working at Dakshina Upahar Hotel under the Jayanagar police station limits.
According to preliminary police findings,the incident occurred at around 9 am while Rajesh was using a goods lift to transport grocery supplies to the hotel.
During the lift’s movement,he allegedly had his head and neck protruding outside the lift when it came into contact with the structure,causing fatal injuries.
Rajesh sustained severe injuries and died in the mishap.
Jayanagar police visited the spot and have begun an investigation.
Officers are examining CCTV footage from the premises to ascertain the exact sequence of events and determine whether any negligence was involved.
