“MP Jewelerry Shop Owner Cheats Customer Of 2 Crore Rupees “.
A major gold fraud case involving nearly Rs.2 crore has been reported from HSR Layout in Bengaluru, where a jewellery shop owner and an associate allegedly cheated a city-based man under the pretext of offering gold at a lower price with minimal wastage charges.
The victim,Puneeth,a resident of Sarjapur, alleged that he was lured into purchasing gold for an upcoming wedding after being told that prices had dropped and wastage charges were low.

According to the complaint, his relative,Savitha Reddy, introduced him to MP Jewellers in HSR Layout, owned by Indrachand.
On March 27,Puneeth visited the store along with Savitha Reddy and entered into a deal worth approximately Rs.2 crore.
The accused allegedly asked him to return the next day to collect the gold.
However, when Puneeth revisited the shop,he was reportedly asked to contact Savitha Reddy, who in turn redirected him back to the shop owner, raising suspicion.
It was later revealed that both the shop owner, Indrachand, and Savitha Reddy had allegedly colluded to cheat Puneeth.
Further inquiries by the victim suggested that the accused had similarly duped several others and conducted transactions primarily in cash to avoid legal scrutiny.
Based on the complaint,a case has been registered at the HSR Layout Police Station.
However, the victim has accused the police of inaction, claiming that despite an FIR being filed and a court reportedly denying bail to the accused,no arrests have been made so far.
He further alleged that the accused continues to operate the jewellery business openly.Puneeth has urged the Bengaluru Police Commissioner to intervene, alleging negligence on the part of local police and questioning whether there is a disparity in the application of law.
