Father and Son Duo arrested for stealing computer accesories from their tenant house recovered Rs.80 Lakhs Stolen property

The Govindapura Police station inspector and his team have arrested a father-son duo in connection with a theft at a computer shop in Nagawara and recovered stolen electronic components from their tenant worth nearly Rs.80 lakh from them.

Senior officer told reporters that the complainant Raghav G (38),a resident of T.Channayya Layout in Nagawara, lodged a complaint on March 14,stating that he had closed his shop on the night of March 13.

When he returned the next morning around 11 am,he found the shop door open and the locker broken,with computer components missing.

Based on the complaint,a theft case was registered and an investigation was launched.Acting on credible information,police detained one suspect on March 15 near a hotel on the main road in Chanakya Layout,along with a two-wheeler allegedly used in the crime.

During interrogation,the suspect confessed and revealed the involvement of his accomplice.

Subsequently,both accused were arrested and subjected to sustained questioning, which led to the recovery of 444 DDR4 RAM modules and 279 SSD hard disks from their possession.

The arrested have been identified as Hemant M(21),a laptop technician,and his father Manjunath M (45),a former waterman.Both are residents of T. Channayya Layout.

Police said the accused had rented out the house to the complainant and were aware of his business.

Suspecting that the shop was doing brisk business,they allegedly committed the theft using duplicate keys out of jealousy.The duo had planned to sell the stolen components to prospective buyers.

However,based on CCTV footage and other technical clues,police were able to zero in on the accused and arrest them.
