*One Year Since the Commissioner’s Phone-In Programme Was Launched in the Corporation.
*Monitoring from Registration to Resolution | 55 Grievances Received in the 53rd Commissioner’s Phone-In Programme.
Bengaluru North City Corporation is integrating the ‘Sahaaya 2.0’ software and the ‘Commissioner’s Phone-In’ Programme to ensure that grievances received from citizens are promptly registered,assigned to the concerned departments and officials,and continuously monitored for their progress towards resolution.
Grievances received through various media and platforms within the Corporation’s jurisdiction are being registered on ‘Sahaaya 2.0’,and the progress and resolution status of each grievance are being reviewed.
Concerned officials have been instructed to prioritise pending grievances and ensure their resolution within the stipulated timeframe.
From January 1,2023 to August 31, 2025,prior to the formation of GBA,1,17,175 grievances were received, of which 2,193 grievances remained pending.
During the GBA period from September 1,2025 to September 24, 2026,80,938 grievances were received, of which 1,610 grievances remain pending.
As per the overall figures in the report,1,98,113 grievances have been registered,1,96,503 grievances have been resolved,and 1,665 grievances remain pending.
Priority to Reviewing the Progress of Pending Grievances:
Regular reviews are being conducted on pending grievances, including the reasons for the grievances remaining pending,the action taken by the concerned officials, and the current status of resolution.
Officials have been instructed that,instead of merely closing grievances technically,field inspections should be conducted wherever required to ensure that citizens have received an actual resolution.
Pending Grievances Across Various Departments:
As per the report dated September 24, 2026,the details of pending grievances across various departments are as follows:

*Health–20.
*Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) – 1.
*Parks and Playgrounds – 6.

*Revenue – 3.
*Road Maintenance (Engineering) – 748.
*Sanitation – 16.
*Solid Waste Management – 364.
*Town Planning – 4.
*Traffic Engineer Cell (TEC) – 35.
*Veterinary – 30.
Total – 1,610 grievances.
Special Focus on Road and Solid Waste-Related Issues:
Among the pending grievances,748 are related to Road Maintenance (Engineering), while 364 are related to Solid Waste Management.
Road Maintenance grievances include issues related to debris and construction material removal,footpaths, footpath encroachments,potholes,road cutting,roadside drains, unauthorised constructions and water stagnation.
Solid Waste Management grievances include issues related to waste collection,waste disposal and dumping of waste on roads and public spaces,among other waste-related concerns.

The division-wise details of pending grievances in Bengaluru North City Corporation are as follows:

* Dasarahalli Division: 246.
* Hebbal Division: 221.
* Pulikeshinagara Division: 159.
* Sarvagnanagara Division: 356.
* Vidyaranyapura Division: 244.
* Yelahanka Division: 141.
*Today,53rd Commissioner’s Phone-In Programme – One Year Successfully Completed.
The Commissioner’s Phone-In Programme,which was started on September 26,2025 and has been conducted every Friday with the objective of directly listening to citizens’concerns,has completed its 53rd programme today,marking one year of successful completion.
A total of 55 grievances were received through 50 calls during today’s programme.

3,156 Grievances Received Through Phone-In:
Through 53 Phone-In Programmes,3,156 grievances have been received,of which 2,887 grievances have been resolved.269 grievances remain pending.
Including the 55 grievances received during today’s Phone-In Programme, the total number of pending grievances under the Phone-In Programme stands at 324 as of September 25,2026.
Grievances Received Through More Than 25 Sources:
Citizen grievances are being received through more than 25 sources, including the Corporation office,e-mail, newspapers,WhatsApp,Instagram, Facebook and X.
Grievances received through any medium are being registered on ‘Sahaaya 2.0’ and forwarded through the ICCC to the concerned departments and officials.
This ensures that responsibility is assigned for every grievance and its progress is continuously monitored.
As per the directions of Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda,this comprehensive grievance monitoring system is being implemented in Bengaluru North City Corporation.
Focus on Providing Actual Resolution to Citizens:
Continuous monitoring from the registration of citizen grievances to their final resolution remains a key priority of the Corporation.
Responsibility is assigned for every grievance, and concerned officials are instructed to take necessary action.
The Corporation follows a system of resolving grievances after ensuring field inspection, effective action and that citizens have received an actual resolution.
