A 21-year-old medical student was killed and another sustained serious injuries after a two-wheeler collided with a tipper lorry in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Krithika (21),a fourth-year medical student of Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital.


Senior officer told reporters that the accident occurred around 4.15 pm on Wednesday when Krithika was returning after college along with her friend on a scooter. The incident took place in front of the college premises.
Further said the scooter allegedly hit a moving tipper lorry and skidded on the road.While the rider of the scooter fell to the left side,Krithika,who was riding pillion, fell to the right side.
The wheel of the tipper lorry reportedly ran over Krithika, leading to her death on the spot.
The rider,identified as Hamsa,sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to the hospital attached to Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
Officials from the Kengeri Traffic Police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.The police arrested the driver and seized the truck .
A case has been registered and further investigation is on to ascertain the cause of accident.
