Seven people were killed in a ghastly serial accident at the outskirts of Hoskote near Bengaluru early on Friday.
Senior officer told reporters that,the accident occurred aroubd 4.30 am near M Satyavara village on the Hoskote–Dabaspet National highway near Kambalipura.
The SUV,and XUV 700 with six occupants including the driver was heading from Hoskote towards Devanahalli. The SUV initially knocked down a motorcycle from behind killing them rider in the spot.
The driver of the SUV allegedly then lost control after the initial impact and crashed into a canter vehicle from the rear.
Another car was also drawn into the wreckage,resulting in a severe pile-up of accident.
Six occupants of the SUV and the motorcycle rider died on the spot, the police said adding preliminary inquiries reveal the SUV was overspeeding.
The deceased are suspected to be residents of Kothanur in Bengaluru all aged between 20 and 25, though their identities are yet to be confirmed.
The bodies have been shifted to the Hoskote Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.
