Woman and her lover arrested by Sulibele police for killing husband and attempted to Disguise it as an accident

The Sulibele police have solved a murder case that was initially projected as an accident,in which a woman allegedly conspired with her lover to kill her husband in Hoskote taluk of Bengaluru Rural district.

The incident came to light after the body of Ashok (40) was found on January 24 on the roadside near Siddanahalli village.At first,the death was reported as an accident.

However,villagers grew suspicious over the circumstances surrounding the incident and alerted the police.

Following a detailed investigation,the Hoskote police found that the death was a premeditated murder.

The victim’s wife,Pushpa,33,and her lover Devaraj have been arrested in connection with the case.

Senior officer told reporters that Pushpa was in an extramarital relationship with Devaraj and conspired with him,along with associates Munindra and Siddappa,to eliminate her husband.

As part of the plan,Ashok was lured out on the pretext of getting hi wall painting work .

The duo as per the plan took him for a alcohol party and later they attacked Ashok near a lake using an iron rod and bricks,killing him on the spot.

To mislead investigators,the body was later dumped along with his bike on the roadside to make it appear as a road accident.

After Ashok’s death,Pushpa and her lover allegedly staged drama and filed a complaint to divert suspicion.

However,sustained questioning and local inputs led the police to uncover the conspiracy.

All the accused have been taken into custody,and further investigation is underway he added.
