Man murdered by younger brother in Banashankari over trivial row accused arrested by police

A 35-year-old Moulvi murdered his elder brother following a quarrel at their residence in Yarab Nagar, Banashankari,on Friday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Mujahid (35).

Senior officer told reporters that the incident occurred after an argument broke out between Mujahid and his younger brother Mohammad Musain,reportedly over elder brother abusing their mother verbally.

Heated exchange escalated,and Musain allegedly picked up a household object and attacked Mujahid.Mujahid succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Musain,who also sustained injuries during the scuffle, has been admitted to a hospital.

The Banashankari police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

Both the brothers are moulvis and teaching in madrasas the accused along with his parents visited the house of the deceased to stay.They family stayed late in the night but argument over trivial issue broke out which ended up in the murder .

The police are awaiting recovery of the accused to take him into custody for further investigation.
