Bengaluru BDA Site Scam:Trio,including a former BDA staffer,and touts held for forgery and cheating

The Sheshadripuram police have arrested a former Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) staff and two of his accomplices for allegedly forging a document to grab a BDA site in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout

Based on the complaint filed by officials of the vigilance squad,the police arrested Chikkarayi,68,of Gubbalala and his associates Muralidhara,60,of Channapattana and Manjunath B,48,of Vasanthnagar who were working as touts on the BDA office premises.

Senior officer told reporters that the BDA had allotted a site to Bhyrappa in Arakavathy Layout in 2006 and offered an alternative site in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout.

Before claiming the site Bhyrappa died and the accused who got to know about this created fake documents and claimed the property impersonating Bhyrappa.

The racket came to light when family members of Bhyrappa came to know about this and raised a complaint.

The matter was referred to BDA Vigilance Cell,which probed the matter in detail before filing a case with the jurisdictional police seeking legal action.
