Expelled Karnataka BJP leader booked in two cases for allegedly provocative remarks terming the state government as “Karnataka government means Tipu Sultan government

Three days after Maddur police registered an FIR against BJP,MLA from Vijayapura,Basavanagowda Patil Yatnal , the Tumakuru town police on Saturday registered a suo motu case for his provocative and abusive speech terming the state government as“Karnataka government means Tipu Sultan government”.

While participating in a program On September 13,for a Ganesha idol immersion in Tumakuru,Yatnal accused the government for providing helping only members of a minority community are getting contracts,reservations, and development.

Criticising Muslims heavily amidst crowd cheering, Yatnal said that those who shout pro Pakistan slogans and hoist Palestine flags should be shot without booking cases against them.

They dont live in peace and if i come to power,I’ll demolish all mosques and build temples.The musilm marry their mothers and sisters and bomb their own mosques.

The government has banned DJ and i know how to bring back DJ music for the procession.

This hurt the religious sentiments of muslims and create hatred among different communities,said senior officer who is part of the security duty in his complaint.

Based on the complaint,the police have registered an FIR charging him under section 199 ( public servant for knowingly disobeying a direction of the law),299 ( deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage the religious feelings of any class of citizens by insulting their religion or religious beliefs,through words,signs, visual representations, or electronic means) and section 353 (making, publishing,or circulating statements, rumors, or false information ) against him.

Earlier,the Maddur town police had registered an FIR against him after his hate and provocative speech during a mass Ganesha idol immersion event in Maddur town in the Mandya district on September 10.
