Death toll in Wilson Garden cylinder blast rises to three after woman and her eight-year-old daughter succumbed to injuries

The death toll in the Wilson Garden LPG cylinder blast has risen to three, after a woman and her eight-year-old daughter succumbed to injuries on Monday.

The cylinder explosion at the house of Kasturamma around 8 am.on Friday injured 11 people and damaged the roofs of several neighbouring houses in Chinnaiahnapalya Colony.

The deceased have been identified as Kasturamma (30), a domestic worker,and her daughter Kayal (8),both natives of Tamil Nadu.

Senior officer said Kayal,who had sustained 35% burn injuries,succumbed around 5 pm. at Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health despite treatment.

Her mother,who suffered 40% burns,died later around 8 pm.at Victoria Hospital.

Earlier, Mubarak (10),one of the 11 injured,had died on the day of the incident.

Among the others injured,Sarsamma is still undergoing treatment,while the rest have been discharged said a senior officer.
