The Central Crime Branch police filed a charge-sheet in retired DGP murder case giving clean chit to the daughter Kritika as there was no evidence found about her involvement in the crime .
A 1150 page charge sheet filed before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court mentioned though Kritika was in the first floor of the house at the time of the murder,there was no evidence about her involvement and hence charges have been dropped,a senior police officer,said .
The accused Pallavi,wife of Omprakash has been accused of stabbing him to death over a property dispute at the house situated in HSR Layout on April 20 .
Pallavi was upset that she is not getting her due share and had an argument over the issue and stabbed him with the knife.
A 1981 batch IPS officer hailing from Bihar,Omprakash, 64,was found dead in a pool of blood in the ground floor of his three-storeyed house, while the wife and daughter were found inside the house .
Probe revealed that,Pallavi allegedly threw chilli powder on Prakash’s face before stabbing him to death following a heated argument at the dining table .
The HSR Layout police registered a case of murder against Pallavi and Kritika following a complaint from his son,Kartikesh,who was staying in separate house.
According to Kartikesh,his mother,Pallavi,had been threatening to kill Om Prakash over property row.In his complaint,Kartikesh mentioned that his father had moved to stay at his sister Sarita Kumari’s house due to these threats.
However,Kartikesh claims that two days ago, Kritika visited aunt’s house and pressured their father to return home and brought him back against his will.
Considering the accused mental condition,the police admitted Kritika to Nimhans Hospital for evaluation while Pallavi was subjected to medical examination before recording her statement .
Pallavi maintained that she alone killed her husband and Kritika had no role in it.She also claimed that Kritika is mentally upset due to alleged domestic violence at home .
After killing her husband,Pallavi reportedly made a video call to the wife of another retired DG and IGP, declaring ominously,“I have finished the monster.
