The varthur police on Tuesday arrested a labourer for hammering his co-worker to death over a trivial row at an under construction building on July 29 in Ramagondahalli in varthur .
The accused Seetharam pandey was drinking with Jitendra Pandey at a construction building where they were working .
Jitendra native of bihar had come to the city a week ago to work as a labourer.
Jitendra during the drinking session gave Rs.20 to Seetharam to get pan masala.Seetharam got offended as he was elder to Jitendra and disrespecting him.
Heated argument ensued in the mele Seetharam picked up a hammer and hit Jitendra on his head.
A fatal blow rendered Jitendra collapsed on the ground and was killed by bleeding from the nose and ears.
The accused fled the scene leaving Jitendra dead in a pool of blood.
The murder came to light the next day when others workers came and noticed Jitendra s body.
Based on the complaint the varthur police track down Seetharam and remanded him to judicial custody.
