Drinking water problem is getting worse since February.It was suggested that the problem should be solved before it gets out of control.
*There is Rainfall deficit in Monsoon and Pre Monsoon.9.mm rainfall is expected in pre monsoon period.According to the weather forecast,normal rainfall is expected.
*Heat wave is likely to increase and temperatures are likely to rise above normal.
*Pending Central Government relief 631.13 correct has been released to 33.25 lakh farmers.Its details are published in the Farmer Contact Center and Panchayat limits.
*In 20 urban areas of 8 districts, drinking water is supplied through tankers in 96 wards and private bore wells in 29 wards.
*The water problem did not worsen till January. Even now the problem is under control and 7340 rented borewells have been identified. It was suggested to identify and estimate the villages where problems may arise.
*7408 villages have been identified as potentially problematic villages.As a solution,agreements have been made with 7340 private borewell owners .
*There is already problem in 675 villages.The Revenue Minister informed that the water has been sourced from 500 rented bore wells.
*Presently,there is no death or shortage of fodder.Only in Chitradurga problem,has been identified and three Go- shalas have already been started.
*If there is a problem at hobli level,it is suggested to take action even if the guidelines are violated.Tenders are called in advance for purchase of fodder.
* The water level in the reservoirs of the state has not decreased drastically.Only in Tungabhadra Reservoir the water level has decreased.
*It is estimated that people who depend on drinking water from the Tungabhadra river will face water problems.Monsoon is expected to start on time. However, it is considered as risk period till the end of June.
*1.78 TMC of water is available in Tungabhadra and it has to be maintained till the end of June.The Chief Minister suggested that a weekly meeting should be held to review the situation.
*There is no problem of drinking water in Narayanpur, Alamatti, Malaprabha,Ghataprabha,Cauvery valley.
*Man days given under NAREGA to the state have been completed.Rs.730 crores from the central government is due,but has not been released yet.
*1400 crores of wage component is due.4.74 families have worked for hundred days and now they are not getting jobs, the revenue minister said that it may cause migration.
*Migration has reduced due to Guarantee schemes.

*When water problem is reported First priority should be given to supply water by tanker within 24 hours. Later it was suggested to give preference to providing water by renting bore wells.
*Grants are available for bore well repair through SDRF. Drilling of borewell is allowed in case of necessity. It has already been suggested that the tender should be called in advance for the tankers.
*CEO,DCs should call for tenders at Gram Panchayat level. It was suggested that the tender work should be completed and tankers must be ready within a week.
*Rs.46.90 crore has been released for repair of bore wells for all districts.
*The Chief Minister heard the problems of Bangalore urban and rural districts of Raichur,Haveri,Hassan, Vijayapura,Vijayanagar districts where there is water problem.
*In Vijayanagar, Koppal, Raichur and Vijayapur districts, strict instructions were given to use water from reservoirs only for drinking purposes.
*Water Resources Department officials were instructed to take action to release 0.1 TMC water for water supply to three towns and 40 panchayats in Vijayanagar district.
*It was suggested to use money from KUIDFC to solve water problem in Haveri town.
The Chief Minister suggested that a plan should be made for future problems in Hassan.
*Drinking water problem has arisen in Bangalore city and urban district. Out of 11,000 borewells in Bangalore city, 6,000 borewells have failed.
*All tankers are advised to be registered. 110 newly added villages in BBBMP are being provided borewell water by BBMP.
*Cauvery fifth phase project is nearing completion which will solve the problem of drinking water.He suggested that the complaints about the problem of drinking water,which are broadcasted and published in the media, should be resolved immediately.
*The CM directed to take over private borewells and take steps to supply water.Action will be taken to provide grant through SDRF.
*It was suggested to call for tender for tanker water supply at Gram Panchayat level.
