Elephant Attack Claims Life of 60-Year-Old Walker in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A 60-year-old man died after he was attacked by an elephant while out for a morning walk near Anchepalya, behind Rajarajeshwari Hospital on Mysuru Road, on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Nagaraju.
Nagaraju sustained serious injuries in the attack and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries despite treatment.
The incident has raised concern among residents in the area, with further details regarding the elephant and the circumstances leading to the attack awaited.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV footage,. Nagaraj could not notice the elephant initially which was on the other side of the compound wall of the house which suddenly charged at him picked him by the truck and smashed on the ground.
There were two more resident who walked past minutes before the incident.
The incident came to light when other residents noticed Nagaraj lying motionless on roadside and alerted others before he was rushed to the hospital where the doctors after examaniation decalred him as brought dead .
The RR Nagar police have registered a case and sounded alert in and around the area asking people to be cautious.
