“Our government is committed to the protection, development,and service of minorities.The government will stand with you,”assured CM D.K.Shivakumar.

CM D.K.Shivakumar spoke while attending the Eid Milad event organized by the Markazi Milad-un-Nabi and Seerat Committee,Sunni Jamath All Karnataka,held on Wednesday at the YMCA ground in Bengaluru.

“Whatever the religion,the philosophy is one;though there are a hundred names,God is one; whatever the worship, devotion is one.Though duties are many, loyalty is one; God is one,names are many.

When we are born,we do not submit an application choosing which caste or religion to be born into.No religion teaches us to cause trouble to others.

All religious leaders have proclaimed that peace should prevail, and unity and integrity should exist in the country,”he stated.

“On the occasion of Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary,we are remembering his message.I was supposed to travel to Delhi.

However, out of affection for you,I came to this program. You are peace-loving people.I have come to wish you well,”he said.

“The Congress government in the state treats everyone with equality and takes everyone along.It is committed to maintaining social justice and peace.

Funds have been allocated and programs designed for the development of minorities.
