Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions in and around Shivajinagar in view of the annual feast,flag-hoisting ceremony and procession at St. Mary’s Basilica on Saturday,August 29.
The restrictions will be in force from 1 pm to 10 pm to facilitate the procession and ensure smooth movement of traffic.
Restricted routes include:
BMTC buses from Balekundri Circle towards Jyothi Cafe Junction.
All vehicles from Shivaji Circle towards Jyothi Cafe Junction.
BMTC buses from B.R.V.Junction towards Select Junction.
Other vehicles from Select Junction towards Jyothi Cafe Junction.
Vehicles from Bowring Hospital Junction towards Select Junction.
Vehicles from Quadrant Circle towards RMS Junction.
Vehicles from Bamboo Bazaar towards Sunni Circle.
Vehicles from Sunni Circle towards RMS Junction.
Alternative routes:
BMTC buses from Queens Road towards Shivajinagar Bus Station will proceed via Balekundri/Queens Road, Traffic Headquarters Junction, Infantry Road and Central Street Junction before reaching Shivajinagar Bus Station.
Vehicles from Balekundri Circle towards Jyothi Cafe Junction can take a left or right turn at Shivaji Circle.
BMTC buses approaching Shivajinagar from Anil Kumble Junction will drop passengers at B.R.V.Junction and return to their routes.
Buses arriving from Manipal Junction will also drop passengers near B.R.V.Junction and proceed via C.T.O. Junction and M.G. Road.
Vehicles approaching Shivajinagar from B.R.V.Junction can take a left or right turn at Select Junction.
Vehicles from Commercial Street can turn left at Bowring Hospital Junction and continue via Cubbon Road.
Vehicles from Pulakeshinagar can turn left at Quadrant Circle and proceed through D.K.Street.
Vehicles from Bamboo Bazaar towards Shivajinagar should turn right near Saleem Garage at the Cockburn Road–Thimmaiah Road junction and proceed via Thimmaiah Road.
Vehicles from the H.K.P.Dargah side should turn left at Sunni Circle and proceed via Cockburn Road and Mir Obaidullah Road.
No-parking zones:
Parking will be prohibited around Russell Market, Broadway Road,Meenakshi Koil Street,OPH Road, Central Street,Shivaji Road,Union Street,Infantry Road, Cubbon Road,Hospital Road,Lady Curzon Road, Venkataswamy Naidu Road and Plain Street.

Shivajinagar BMTC Bus Stop,first-floor parking
Main Guard Cross Road,opposite Safina Plaza
Old Congress Office,behind Ramada Hotel.
Temporary BMTC bus stops:
To facilitate commuters,temporary bus stops will be provided at designated locations:
North/East Bengaluru routes:Cubbon Road between C.T.O.Junction and B.R.V.Junction,on the north side.
South Bengaluru routes:Cubbon Road between B.R.V. Junction and C.T.O.Junction,on the stadium side.
West Bengaluru routes:Kings Road and Queens Circle.
North Bengaluru routes:Queens Road at Balekundri Circle and near Traffic Headquarters/Parsi Temple.
The Traffic Police have appealed to motorists and the public to cooperate with the traffic arrangements,avoid restricted roads and use alternative routes during the procession.
