The Karnataka Government has assured that all necessary measures have been taken to conduct the upcoming Police Constable Recruitment Examination in a transparent,fair,and smooth manner,Home Minister Priyank Kharge said on Saturday.
Addressing a press conference,the minister stated that the government is committed to ensuring a free and fair recruitment process without any irregularities or confusion,keeping the interests and future of candidates in mind.
He said that detailed instructions regarding the dress code,as well as permitted and prohibited items,have already been mentioned on the candidates’ hall tickets.
Applicants have been urged to strictly follow these guidelines to facilitate the examination process.
Clarifying reports circulating on social media,Kharge said the government has not imposed any ban on religious attire.
Candidates wearing religious clothing or religious ornaments will be allowed to appear for the examination.
However,such candidates must report to their examination centres 2 hours and 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam to complete the mandatory security screening.
The minister also reminded candidates that prohibited items,including mobile phones,smartwatches,electronic gadgets,calculators,pen drives,books,and bags,will not be allowed inside the examination centres.These measures,he said,are intended to safeguard the sanctity and transparency of the recruitment process.
He further clarified that there is no restriction on wearing religious symbols and ornaments such as the sacred thread (Janivara),Shivadhara,mangalsutra,rudraksha, bangles,rings,kumkum, and other items associated with religious practices.
Appealing to candidates not to believe rumours or misinformation circulating on social media or other platforms,Kharge urged them to rely only on official information released by the government and the recruitment authority.
He wished all aspirants success in the examination and encouraged them to appear with confidence.
