Case worker of Karnataka Public school trapped and arrested by Lokayukta police for accepting bribe of Rs.20,000 for processing pension related documents

The Lokayukta police on Tuesday trapped and arrested a case worker attached to Karnataka Public School at Minerva Circle while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000 for processing pension-related documents.

The accused, identified as Renukaradhya K.S,50,was working as a case worker at the school located in V.V. Puram area of Bengaluru.

According to Lokayukta police,the complainant,Suresh R.,a resident of Raghavendra Swamy Layout in Basapura near Electronic City,had approached the accused for forwarding his service book along with necessary documents to the Accountant General’s office for further processing of pension benefits.

Police alleged that the accused had demanded ₹20,000 as illegal gratification to do the work.

Based on the complaint,officials of the Karnataka Lokayukta police registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

A trap was laid under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Shiva Prakash Devaraju,during which the accused was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount.
