A 23-year-old delivery executive died after an electric autorickshaw allegedly rammed into his electric two-wheeler near the office of Dakshina Lok Sabha member Tejasvi Surya in Jayanagar T Block limits.
The deceased has been identified as Kelvin,working as a delivery boy for a private company.
Police said the accident occurred while he was returning home along Mysuru Road after work.The driver of the electric autorickshaw allegedly fled the scene after the accident.
A case has been registered at Jayanagar Traffic Police Station and efforts are on to trace the absconding driver.
In another incident,a 22-year-old pedestrian,identified as Mohammed,was killed after being run over by a container lorry near Route P Bar on National Highway-78 in Hoskote limits.
Mohammed was crossing the road when the speeding lorry hit him,leading to his death on the spot.
The Hoskote Traffic Police Station have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
