Sunil Lohan
A 42-year-old man was brutally murdered and his body stuffed into a plastic sack before being dumped near an industrial area in Bommasandra,under the jurisdiction of Hebbagodi police station.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil Nayak (42). Based on a complaint the Hebbagodi police registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS and launched an investigation.
During the probe,police arrested the accused,Basudev Mallick (30),a native of another state.Investigation revealed that the accused was in an illicit relationship with the victim’s wife, Pushpa.
During investigation it was revealed that Basudev eliminated Sunil Nayak to continue the relationship without obstruction.
On the day of the incident,he allegedly took Sunil along on the pretext of consuming alcohol.During the drinking session, the accused attacked him with a knife and murdered him.
After committing the crime,the accused reportedly disposed of the body by packing it in a plastic sack and dumping it near the industrial area to destroy evidence.
Police have recovered the weapon used in the crime and secured other evidence.The accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
