Illegal Sex determination racket case head nurse of private hospital owned by prime accused arrested by byappanahalli police further probe by CID says CM Siddaramaiah

The Byappanahalli police arrested a head nurse of private hospital owned by prime accused of the sex determination racket and confessed to have aborted hundreds of babies .

The accused Manjula who escaped soon after the racket was busted joined another hospital in Mysuru from where she was arrested on Friday.

Revealing the horrific details Manjula confessed that she was working in the hospital as head nurse for the last one year with the main job of aborting babies .

She told the officials that the pregnant women who admitted to the hospital were given tablets which make them bleed to remove the foetus.

She said that starting from 14 weeks foetus she had aborted six months old foetus the removed foetus she would keep it out for few minutes to dye and wrap in a paper to hand it over to Nisar, the hospital attendant to dispose.

Nisar would take the package to throw it in Cauvery river.This is to clean the mess and leave no trace,she said .

The other foetus she would dumped along the medical waste bin and leave it for few days to decompose .

Sometimes it was difficult to determine the sex of the feotus and had asked the patients to come next time so that it could develop .

She also alleged that Chandan Ballal at times could not scan properly, “I dont think he had completed his MBBS course nor he was qualified to open a nursing home “, she reportedly told the police.

The police are now preparing all the documents to be handed over to the CID for further investigation as per the order by Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah.
