Theft Bid at Canara Bank in Seshadripuram;Accused Flee as Siren Goes Of

An attempted theft was reported at a branch of Canara Bank in Seshadripuram during the early hours of Sunday.

According to police, an unidentified man allegedly tried to break into the bank around 3 am. The suspect is believed to have cut open the rear grill of the building and gained entry into the premises. Preliminary findings suggest that the grill may have been tampered with on Saturday night.

After entering the bank, the accused reportedly searched the premises and went near the strong room. In an attempt to disable the security system, he allegedly cut a wire. However, the act triggered the alarm system, setting off a siren.

As the siren began blaring, the suspect is suspected to have fled the scene.

Police from Seshadripuram Police Station visited the spot in the morning and conducted an inspection.

A case has been registered,and efforts are on to identify and trace the accused.Further investigation is underway.
