MUDA Case Special Court Accepts Lokayukta ‘B’ Report, Clean Chit to CM Siddaramaiah and Others
The Special Court for Elected Representatives in Bengaluru on Tuesday accepted the ‘B’report filed by the Lokayukta police,granting a clean chit to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah,his wife B.M.Parvathi,Mallikarjuna Swamy and Devaraju in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case.
The case pertained to allegations that Parvathi had received 14 prime residential plots in Mysuru’s Vijayanagar area under the controversial 50:50 MUDA scheme,allegedly in exchange for 3 acres and 16 guntas of land located on the outskirts of Mysuru.
After conducting a detailed investigation,the Lokayukta police concluded that there was no prosecutable material against the accused and cited a lack of evidence to proceed further.
However,the court permitted further investigation against other accused named in the case.It also allowed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to continue its independent probe into the matter.
