The Anti-Narcotics Wing of the Central Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested a 45-year-old Nigerian national and recovered 2.5 kilos of MDMA,300 ecstasy tablets worth Rs.5.15 crore from him.
Based on a tip off,a team of police raided the house in Munekolala in Marathahalli and arrested Cornest Oneyachi Ugah and recovered the synthetic drugs which he was peddling.
Probe revealed that Ugah is a habitual offender involved in similar cases earlier in Hennur and Kadugodi police station limits.The accused was arrested and after released on bail he continue to peddle drugs,the police, said .
The police are now trying to track down the source of the drugs and possible involvement of others in the crime.
