A 17-year-old girl died by suicide allegedly due to emotional distress caused by her parents’ separation at Chennammanakere Achukattu in the city.

The deceased has been identified as Lekhna (17), a Class 10 student.
Senior officer told reporters that,she was staying at home and had not been attending school regularly.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that Lekhna’s parents were living separately due to family disputes.
While her father was residing elsewhere,Lekhna was living with her mother.It is said the teenager was deeply distressed by the separation and felt emotionally neglected.
In a death note,Lekhna reportedly wrote that she did not receive love and affection from either parent and felt lonely.She stated that she herself was responsible for taking the extreme step.
The incident occurred late on tuesday night,when she allegedly ended her life by hanging at her residence.
Her body was shifted to KIMS Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.
A case of unnatural death has been registered at the CK Acchukattu police for further investigation.
