A police constable from Bilagi station demonstrated exemplary humanity and sent out the message that “police mean assurance,not fear”after assisting a stranded motorist near Anagavadi bridge on Monday evening.
Around 8 pm,Constable Babu Huded noticed an unknown man pushing his motorcycle on the bridge.On enquiring,the man explained that his bike had run out of petrol and he was trying to reach the nearest fuel station.
Showing compassion,Constable Huded immediately stepped forward to help.He asked the rider to sit on the bike while he pushed it from behind all the way to the petrol pump.
The act of kindness by the constable has drawn appreciation from locals,who praised the police for displaying a humane and helpful face.
