A traffic policeman attached to Madiwala traffic police station caught on camera slapping a two wheeler rider twice,went viral on social media drawing criticism from the members of general public on Wednesday.
The incident said to be occurred near Silk board junction, is being probed by the senior officials who promised to take necessary action after getting report DCP Traffic South Dr.Gopal M Byakod,said,Accountability and respect go hand-in-hand.Action taken against staff for misbehavior”The staff has been suspended he said.
The traffic policeman who found visibly upset stopped the two wheeler rider who was wearing helmet and slapped him.
The victim removed his helmet and asked him why he is slapping,for which the traffic man slapped him again.
The policemen accompanied him also found stopping other vehicles and taking away the keys.The incident drawn criticism from the social media users,objecting to the policeman slapping

It may be recalled that the Director General and Inspector General of Police,MA Saleem,had directed the police not to stop the vehicles for random checks , unless they find any visible violations .
The directions was issued following a tragic incident of a three-year-old girl was killed after she fell off a motorcycle and was run over by a truck during a vehicle check by the traffic police at Swarnasandra in Mandya on May this year,sparking public outrage.
The traffic police have stopped conducting such random checks for a brief period and started again across the city .
