Karnataka: NCB nabs Uganda woman drug trafficker with Rs 1.5 crore worth drugs, had packed in baby food cartons to avoid detection

Narcotics Control Bureau on Friday busted an international drud syndicate operating in south india and arrested a woman from uganda smuggling 995 grams of Methamphetamine to hubbali by train worth Rs.1.5 crore.

Amith Ghawate,Zonal director,NCB,said that the drug was sourced from Delhi to hubballi and was concealed in two cerel

ac baby food carton boxes.

Based on a tip off,a team track down the woman and arrested her at hubballi station as soon as she got down.

With her arrest a major drug syndicate operating in south has been neutralized,Mr.Ghawate said in a release.

The accused has been booked under NDPS act and further investigation are on to track down other members of the syndicate he added.
